    high-quality coffee
    awkward bathroom door

    A quirky bathroom experience

Our stay was a mix of cozy comfort and delightful staff interaction. The selection of high-quality coffee in our room was a surprising treat, perfect for a warm morning.

Getting locked in the bathroom was a challenge! The door wouldn't shut properly, making it a little awkward during our stay.

    good selection of teas
    delicious breakfast
    parking permit issue

Had a lovely one-night stay with a fabulous bathroom and a good selection of teas in the room. I really enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace and the delicious breakfast options were a treat. The only bummer was that the parking permit wasn't available as promised, but they did deduct the parking charges, so it worked out fine in the end. 😊

    stunning views

Had a lovely stay in the spacious Luxury Triple Room. The views were stunning, making mornings feel like a mini-vacation. I popped in for a casual lunch and was thrilled by the quality of their Fish & Chips, which were super tasty and a steal at just £8. The charming vibe and decor added to the experience. the easy access to the estuary for a scenic stroll was a highlight!

    friendly staff
    fabulous bathroom
    noisy evenings
    lack of privacy
    limited nightlife

A lovely warm atmosphere made my one-night stay memorable, especially thanks to the friendly staff like Matty and Jemima who showed me around. The room featured a fabulous bathroom with a standalone bath and a great selection of teas, although it was a bit noisy in the evening. Breakfast offered fresh, delicious choices and was a highlight of the stay.

    soundproofing issues

I adored the charming whitewashed walls and exposed wooden beams throughout the hotel, which created a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The access to the sunny roof terrace provided a lovely spot to enjoy the fresh air.

A bit noisy at night. better soundproofing needed.

Cozy stay with delicious seafood chowder

I completely enjoyed my one-night stay, especially the seafood chowder that was packed with flavor and freshness. The cozy vibes of the pub, combined with the modern décor in my room, made it a delightful retreat. The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly, which added to the overall experience. If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be to address the noise levels in the evenings, as it can get a bit lively.

I had a fantastic time at The Fortescue. The bed in the Deluxe King Room felt super comfy. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I loved that they made a special vegetarian breakfast for me, totally delicious! The location is spot on, just a short walk to the sea. noise from the bar was a bit much sometimes, especially when there was a party going on below my room. The room showed some signs of age, especially the TV, but it didn’t really affect my stay. The atmosphere was lively and I enjoyed my meal in the evening, although I found the prices a little steep. I appreciated the unique touches and hospitality that made my visit special.

Charming Stay with Delightful Pub Experience

Our two-night getaway was memorable, especially enjoying delicious chicken burgers and nuggets at the cozy pub on-site. Despite the place being busy, the service was prompt. Just a heads-up, the TV could use an upgrade, but it hardly impacted our stay!

The Fortescue boasts an ideal location just a short stroll from the sea, making it convenient for both leisure and business travelers. The service is genuinely friendly, with staff that go above and beyond, exemplified by Jemima's effort to arrange a special breakfast treat for me. The varied menu offered thoughtful, well-prepared dishes, making dining a delightful experience.
